The photo you enter in the "Show Us Your Best Shot" contest is any photograph which you took within 30 days of the date you submitted it.
To be able to stay on a monthly schedule, the last day for submitting entry photographs will be five days before the end of the month, ie, if the month ends on the 30th then photos must be submitted no later than the 25th. If the month ends on the 31st then photos must be submitted no later than the 26th. Etc...
There are 30 days in November 2012, so, entries will end on November 25th, 2012.
The poll will be opened the day after last day for submitting entry photographs.
Only users who have been registered on City-Data over 30 days and who have at least one valid post may enter the contest or vote on the contest (Rule added Feb 3, 2012)
One photograph per contest and one vote per member.
All photographs must have been taken within 30 days of the date you submitted them.

This is the core of the Heart Nebula. This nebula is so large that I couldn't get it all in my field of view (50.7 x 76.1 arcmin). This is my longest exposure to date. The extra time made all the difference in the world.
