Anyone ever been in the area? Im just wondering what the bars are like. I chose this hotel because i heard it was noisy! My home is sorrounded by city noise and i miss it when im in Phx. Plus its a nice looking hotel.

I had to look it up to even know where it is, as I hadn't heard of it. So, I can't vouch for the noisiness factor! You are close to Old Town Scottsdale, and just as close or closer to the area around Fashion Square. Should have lots of options for bars and restaurants close by in both areas (not all necessarily walking distance, but a short cab ride! ).

That's actually right in the center of the club district so there is tons of stuff in walking distance, mostly clubs but several restaurants too. I always see people hanging out on the sidewalks right next to the hotel on weekends and yes it is noisy, so you should be happy with it. haha

I stayed there when I first came here to look for a place to live. The problem is that the noise is not from surrounding venues, but rather from inside the hotel. They have a club or party room in there that really bleeds noise into the rooms late at night. Yes, it's walkable to a lot of bars, but the noise will follow you back to your room until the party at the hotel dies down.

I can understand this will be a problem to many people. But in the lobby of my building there is also a club/bar and i hear it daily, cant go to sleep without it.

It's not right in downtown or Old Town, at least it doesn't appear to be in the heart of the bar/club district. Looks like it's surrounded more by small office buildings than bars, so the "noise" will likely not be from outside. Seems like Marriott, Hyatt Place, or the W Hotel would be situated closer to the nightlife.

Hotel Indigo is literally surrounded by bars and clubs. If you want clubs you are under a 5 minute walk to basically all of them. The more relaxed old town bars are slightly further but still easily walkable or a $5 cab ride. on a weeknight that area might more be crazy loud but there's plenty for you to do. There are office spaces next to the hotel but just walk under a tenth of a mile to Smashboxx, Lodge, American Junkie, etc. they're not my type of places but always crowded. More relaxed bars would include DJ's, Coach House (far-ish walk), Old Town Tavern, just to name a few.

Oh, I live less than a half mile from the Indigo so feel free to PM me with any other specific questions.

Don't forget the pedicabs - great way to bar hop in Scottsdale. Whatever you do...DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE IN Oldtown...after 10PM there more cops on the streets than rats.

Those boutique-ish hotels in oldtown have had some major financial issues. The Saguaro formerly known as The Mondrian and The James went through bankruptcy recently, The W hotel almost went through bankruptcy not sure if it did, and others like "Hotel Scottsdale" have changed their name and started hosting weekly pool parties to bring in extra money (they might even have closed, not sure).
