On the one hand, reality is subjective. It's experienced by us as subjective, and depends on our culture, beliefs, state of mind, etc. But reality itself just is what it is. The time factor comes into play too, as everything is in relationship to something (or everything) else. It's interrelated, and nothing stands entirely on its own. So reality is always in relationship to something else. All things in the known universe are also impermanent, and they are constantly changing into something else. So even though reality just is what it is, what it is changes depending on many other factors.
I used to be very interested in philosophy, especially philosophy vs religion. Over time I came to experience reality just as it is, and that basically closed that door, as both depend on a belief. You can't scientifically prove any of it, and I like reality. That's the world I prefer to live in.

"I think, therefore I am". Suppose it's true that ONLY our thoughts exist and everything else is just an illusion. That would be reality if it's true.
But I take you actually mean "Does this universe exist?". I can't either prove or disprove that. But I can tell you this much. I cannot will the laws of physics to change gravity from an attractive to a repulsive force. Nor can I will the freezing point of water at Earth's sea level air pressure and gravity to change from 32F to 2F or 72F. Therefore, I choose to treat my perception of this reality as if it were real.
We all have a reality that we share, concrete, physical reality that is objective, and we all have our own reality based on our bias, fear and mental proclivities which is subjective.
Yup, that just about nails it. Good post.
