How sad to have been caged for so long. I hate these animal testing labs. So many creatures tested on for the unworthy humans we have become. May they live well now and in the peace they deserve.

Everything I buy such as cleaning products to skincare and detergent has to say "not tested on animals" and "no animal ingredients".

She looks like she's literally saying "Whoa!" or "Wow!" with her mouth (and eyes). Very sweet.

Yeah, she does!

I've been reading some of the "bios" on the various Chimps at Save the Chimps and it's both heartbreaking and amazing! So many now have a wonderful life in a "family" of their own and in an environment that enriches and engages them. I wonder if they chase the little "lizards" in Florida! LOL

I think the youngest chimp there is about 20 years old. Most come from labs, but some were former pets.

Apparently this video is from last year and Vanilla has settled in and is doing well.

Beagles are in the same situation. Such willing forgiving dogs-so much so they're used in labs.

I wonder if Vanilla was as fascinated by the sky or just amazed that for the 1st time in 28 yrs, there's no roof or ceiling.

Totally agree. I could never understand why we don't use those on death row for such purposes. I mean, they're almost human, aren't they?
