The safest way to keep our pets safe is not to let them run loose. But this is better than nothing. And for cats over 5 lbs it might work but it surely looks too big.

they make smaller LED versions too and "blinkies" i have blinkies on the dogs collars and my purse and zipper for if were walking at night.

where did you get them and what company makes them. Thank you. I think the ones in the OP are way too big.

I always strain to be home early so as to walk my dog before night-fall. I seriously had not seen this before. I am getting one ASAP. It looks like it shall make my life better as I'll bond even more with my dog, regardless of the time. Thanks for enlightening me.
