I am Karen Wojtalewicz in Libby, MT. Want to know if anyone in Dumont, MN. remembers the Harry Wojtalewicz family that lived 6 miles east of Dumont. Would like to hear from you!! I grew up 6 miles east of Dumont. Spent many a Sunday at the baseball field there behing the Luthern Church. Anxious to hear from someone there. Karen

No, i do not remember Harry but I bet a couple of the old timers here would remember. I am 14 and I lived in Dumont all my life. Hate to break it to you but that baseball field is now a softball field the Dumont Saints were moved up to Wheaton on account of the **** we had to build cause we get floods every year in the spring! And also that Luthern Church was taken down this summer same w/ the catholic church and tell you the truth i dont know why they got took down but i sure do wish walking a couple blocks to the church!!!

I was from Dumont and now live in Wheaton. My aunt married a man named Floyd Wojtalewicz. But I don't recognize the name Harry
Floyd was my uncle, Harry was my father. They have both died. Is your Aunts name Norma!!! She is my Aunt, too!! My mother was from Wheaton. Her maiden name was Hennen. Her brothers Alvin and Orrie lived there, too. They are both dead, also. Gen Hennen, Alvins wife is still living in Wheaton. Her home used to be the Wheaton Hospital, many, many years ago. Interesting, huh!
Harry passed away a few years ago, Floyd passed away just recently, and there are two brothers of Harry who live in St. Paul, NE

I have one brother, Allen, in Moorhead, a brother, John in Breckenridge, a sister, Mary Jo Schwarz, in Fergus Fall, and a brother, David in Rapid City, S.D.! my grandfather was orrie hennen and my grandma was Bertha ,. there son Arlis was my father he did in 1979 just thought i would mention that
Hi all you Dumont folks! I'm actually looking for the grave of my great grandfather (Dennis Slattery) who died in Tara Township in 1887. Apparently the Tara cemetery (St. Patrick's) was started in 1893, so he would have been buried somewhere else. Trouble is, I can't seem to find anyone who knows. There are no records of it at Ave Maria Church in Wheaton (seems like they may have been burned). Is there an older Catholic cemetery in Dumont? St. Peter's, perhaps? I'm getting conflicting information on that, and I'm hoping that someone who actually lives there can give me the scoop. If there is, I don't think there are any records. But if I knew there WAS a cemetery, I would make the trip and check the graves for my great grandfather. Thank you!
