Considering a relocation to OC / LA area. Will be in outside sales position which requires extensive car travel in the area --- Just curious if I were to live in the OC / (say Newport Beach or Laguna Nigel Area) - what type of traffic could I expect getting around the area and travelling outside of the area to other parts of the LA area? My sales appointments will likely be in late afternoon into the evenings.

Any tips and pointers are appreciated!
Thanks!

Travelling any significant distance in LA/OC between 7Am and 9AM or 3PM to 7PM is terribly difficult. These are the most congested roads in the US. At 3AM you can get most anywhere in less than an hour.

In the rush hours you can easily spend half a day.

If most of your appointments are in the LA area I would suggest living close by. I could not even describe the amount of traffic in between the two counties, especially from late afternoon through the evening. I live in Newport Beach, and it takes me about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get to dodger stadium about 40 miles away on a weekday.
