Arizona's population went up, buoyed by undocumented immigrants crossing the border, buat the crime rate actually went down, even at the border. A few well-publicized incidents involving illegal immigrants sensationalizes the perception but doesn't jibe with reality.

The illegal immigration forum is way too much full of rants, gross inaccuracies and charged rhetoric rather than facts.
Yeah Sure !!! 11-20 million Illegal Aliens and they're all Angels !!!
No rapes,murders,drunk driving,ID theft,fraud,assaults,property crimes,auto thefts,sexual assaults,gangs,drugs,etc,etc...
Your "reality" is pure Fantasy.

And BTW what's the point of having ICE,Immigration laws, wage and hour laws or even a border then? And you're claiming that all this plus law enforcement, border security and countless Illegal Aliens in prison, anchor babies collecting Welfare, unpaid Hospital bills and everything else involved cost the State of California nothing ???

Believe what you want the Reality is different

To implement and run such a system it would take something that Arizona has and California does not; Joe Arpaio.

Anything written by the New York times is suspect in my book.

I think it was Joe Arpaio that made that bid to house CA inmates in AZ facilities.

That solar company scuttled their expansion plan because they woke up one day to find China has already taken over the entire solar module business. They were very late, in getting their automated manufacturing process right. They also could not get their costs in line, to compete with China. That was/is their problem, and that is a problem with all other solar module manufacturers in the USA, and the rest of the world. No other company or country can compete with Chinese companies or China in that field now, except First Solar from USA.

There have always been companies moving out of California for cheaper rent and costs of doing business. At the same time many more have and will continue to pour in to California, to take advantage of an infrastructure that only California can offer today: an incomparable talent pool, money (VC/Angels) and a culture that helps to foster innovation. No other place on earth has all those combination working together as seamlessly as in California.

Speaking as a native Californian... I sure hope you're right.

Oakland CA has tons of industrial space available... appreciate sending some employers my way

One of the top concerns manufacturers have expressed is California Infrastructure reliability and cost... first our power grid and the cost of electricity are a huge deterrent and then the on again/off again water rationing is another... just to name two.

My point isn't to say that undocumented immigrants are all angels, but that to blame them for rises in crime doesn't jibe with reality, as I've pointed out.

Show me some statistics and hard facts, rather than some xenophobic foaming-at-the-mouth rants and I'll start to consider your words credible.

The illegals commited a severe crime when they came here illegally by sneaking across the border. They broke the law, did not follow our law, felt they are entitled, and are disrespectful to the country they prefer to their native country.

(in how many ways do obvious things have to be explained to you?)

Get it?

There is nothing 'xenophobic' about this.

* edit: the illegals from Mexico also basically sh*t on the LEGAL immigrants that try hard to abide by the rules because they (the legal immigrants) actually love this country and RESPECT IT AND ITS LAWS

Thank goodness we don't have Sheriff Arapaio, who has become too much of a publicity hound, and way-too power hungry. He's feuded with other local municipal governments and law enforcement agencies, and the Feds have slapped him down.

That really too bad, because when he was in his early days, he was a pretty good cop, introducing a bunch of community policing programs that were quite effective. Now he's way out of control and doesn't seem to be accountable. And yet he keeps getting reelected.
