Yup. I remember it being right next to the rollercoaster and I think it was kind of like an indoor tilt-a-whirl (it was pitch black inside). I think it was added just a few years before the park closed.

Sounds like the black hole you guys are talking about was "The Scrambler" that I mentioned. At least, I could have sworn it was called "The Scrambler."

This is the same type of ride that the black hole/scramber was, except it was in a black room with some multi-colored strobe lights. I loved that ride.

Does anyone know where to get any pictures? Particularly of the swimming pool...

I loved going to Peony Park when I was a kid in the 70's. When did it close down? And, what's a Hy-Vee? Thanks!

I think if they really wanted to make it big, they could have taken over that large park across the Papio creek, however, I don't think they ever had their sights on anything more than they had.

As far as a photo of the Pool, the Durham Archives have it and Pepperjax on 120th and Blondo has a print from the archives hanging by the front door.
