Nice job Reverend. Gonna tell us about God now?
What does your city being ugly have to do with God? God didn't make that city ugly and besides I didn't say the people are ugly. Just the city is ugly as hell but great people come from that place like Terence Crawford and Warren Buffet.

Those are some decent weather photos.

I wish these "Ten Best" voted photographers in Omaha would capture some great views of the city to share here: https://www.thumbtack.com/ne/omaha/l...photographers/

I also like the OWH photos.

So much of what I've seen of the Omaha skyline is sooo boring and non-inspirational. It's like there is no artistic vision involved, no beauty & wonder there, no authentic passion feeling sensed there, simply somebody with an expensive camera that points the lense at Omaha and clicks a button -- and that's about it.

Just today, I saw a post on the Omaha forum (which I haven't looked at in weeks) about a message telling a certain, mean Omaha "photographer" that his shots were "nonartistic", and as far as I can see, NOBODY argued that point as of today's date -- even individuals from his own "gang." LOL... Just as I thought. The pictures are just dull and nothing special -- and everyone knows it, and thinks it. I was cracking up by the end of the post, and now I'm just almost giggly. If anything proves that point about the pictures, it is that thread -- ironically.

There's a difference between simply a man holding an expensive digital camera and clicking "snap" at a nice scene, and calling himself/herself a "photographer." And, an actual, true, talented photographer with dark room skills and knowledge, able to use actual film, and passion & pizzazz felt/seen in his/her pictures. (IMO)

It's amazing how LOW people will go on that Omaha forum, and how forms of hatred are allowed to flourish towards individuals, even on the open stage -- even from moderators you expect a way better example out of. They break their own forum's posted rules of etiquette behavior -- guidance commands & rules all just thrown out the window, and suddenly flying off, when the right person comes along -- with blatant hypocrisy and delight (almost like little red devils dancing around a fire). Wow, that has to take one special person to bring forth that startling, double-standard wickedness out of "leaders", and for them to allow other forumers to join in, all ironically under the banner of their "peace & kindness & love" rules, their ugly "true colors" now exposed for everybody to now see. I don't respect any of it -- or them. And, it gives me a bad impression of the town as a whole, personally. I'm not sure all what I think of Omaha now.

So, believe me, let's stick to these Omaha "Ten Best" when it comes to posting Omaha photography....please. We want the city to look good here, with no risk. I know good art and TRUE photography when I see it. I'm a fan of David Muench, for example. He's like the "King" of landscape photography, imo. I also can't get over Bill Cobb's aerials of cities. He just captures the cities perfectly, with exciting & unique (almost snappy) angles.

Does anybody have any BW Photography on Omaha? That's black & white photography -- of course. That's the only "BW" photography I want to ever see of Omaha.

Unfortunately, this forum doesn’t get much traffic these days. A lot of good posters have left or moved on to other forums.

Spent the weekend in Omaha/Council Bluffs for work. One night in each. Had a great time!

Missouri River from behind the Hampton Inn (not recommended) in Council Bluffs:

From the Lewis & Clark Monument in Council Bluffs:

Quick ride across the bridge, views from both sides of the river...as well as over it:

Carter Lake, from Iowa

I'll edit in a little write-up when I find time.

Nice everyday shots of the river and Omaha... Keep them comin'! It's nice seeing them from a variety of people. Such a relief... Nobody hardly shares anything in the Omaha forum. I feel like it is monopolized and oppressed by one main "picture taker" and his moderator buddies/cohorts. I don't like it. In fact, I would like to see a new, more fun forum created for Omaha, free of that strange "cloud" over it.
