I'm a senior college student at SOSU in Durant graduating in May. I'm from the Ft. Worth, Texas area and really want to get away from living in the metroplex, just too many people. I have my Choctaw CDIB and plan on starting a career with the Choctaw Nation! I really like being in Durant but want to hear everyone's opinion on other places to live in SE Oklahoma, preferably within the Choctaw Nation. Where can I get the biggest bang for my buck as far as acreage is concerned? Really what are the best cities/towns/unincorporated communities to live in?

Thanks

You can't do better than Durant.

Make sure you go to Tuskahoma! Lots of heritage and history there that will make you proud to be a Choctaw.

I always liked the Broken Bow area. Just beautiful down there.

Signed,

A Fellow Choctaw/Okie
