Anybody know the differences between these two electric companies regarding things like price?
looks like the place I'm moving to uses OEC. I'm wondering if I should be celebrating or bracing for my first bill.

One is a cable company that supplies phone, Internet and cable. The other is a telephone company that provides telephone, Internet and sometype of entertainment package. Neither is cheap. I have the phone company because the cable phone is dead every time the cable drops off line, whereas the telephone company phone does not.

If you do not want a cell phone to watch movies and ball games, and if you don't live on your cell phone ... take a look at Net 10, Straight Talk and TracFone sold by Walmart. All three are owned by TracFone-- the largest wireless carrier in North America. They have contract and no contract phones. I have the LG 840 no contract Tracfone. I have had very good service with it thus far.

In the past I've had AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular contract phones. Of these I like Sprint phones best for rural, interstate driving, and city.

thanks for the reply!

I actually do use my cellphone quite a bit. I have an iphone.

So I'll either go with T-mobile if they have good service in norman, or stick with AT&T.

I don't want a landline and then have two bills. my cellphone is plenty, especially if T-mobile is good in norman.

as for the power company, I don't really have a choice I'm just wanting to know what I'm in for.

as to TV/home internet I'm leaning toward cox, as they seem to have lower prices and my favorite channels on their basic package.

any input welcome.

Fine.

The ol' lady and I have T-Mobile and it works fine pretty much anywhere in the Metro.

T-Mobile does seem to be a bit more spotty (than AT&T, what I used to have) inside buildings and what not, but for the money, it's probably worth it.

yeah they got a deal for 70 bucks a month unlimited everything, no contract. thats pretty hard to beat. and I've heard they bought more frequencies to deal with the spotty building issues.

I've had both. ATT rolled out the Uverse cable here in tulsa about 9 years back. It's not blazing fast internet and cable but it does the job. The part that made me switch was dealing with ATT's customer service and service techs that never showed up.

We switched to Cox Cable and it's better speeds, more reliable, and the service techs and customer service are much better.
