Yes i lived in roland for almost 4 years as well as living in fort smith and i can tell you that it is a great place to live. and the people thair are very nice two. Thay are a little sticky on the driving and speeders will give tickets out at the drope of the hat but other than that schools are very good and the kids learn alot more than some of the other towns. "good luck"

Can anyone tell me where I can find out the history of Roland, OK? Who was it named after? Where did he/she come from? Etc. Roland, OK used to have a library but it is closed now. I live near by and stopped in at the Roland City Hall/Police Station and they didn't know anything at all about the history of the little town. The ROLAND name is part of my family genealogy and I am just curious if I am related to the founder or not. Thanks
