As Bass&Catfish2008 pointed out, OP is referring to the city of Choctaw. However, the Choctaw Nation Headquarters are in Durant, not Tuskahoma. The old Choctaw Nation Capitol building is in Tuskahoma, but it's now a museum.

That's right.

I meant to get down to Tvshka Homma a couple of weeks ago for the commemorative walk. I got swamped with work in DFW. Have you ever participated?

I have a few times, it's been a while since my last time though. However, I'm at the Labor Day Festival every year!

Choctaw is a great area with some of the best land in the OKC metro if you like hills and trees. Lots of folks moving out there. Down side is there is no "real" downtown or central Choctaw to call your own just a bunch of suburbs. It's just a big spread out area of people moving out of OKC. You wouldn't know it from driving through the area; but, Choctaw schools is a 6A district. Another thing that may appeal to you is if you work in OKC you will have the sun at your back for the drive to work AND the drive home.

Default burning

I've lived in the city of Choctaw for 48 years - East of Triple X Road off of SE 15th. it's a great place to live - other than for a few yelping dogs, there's only one problem - burning. There's almost always smoke in the air - burn ban in effect or not. It almost never lets up. Also garbage being burned. They're burning garbage right now--
