Lookin' pretty good. OKC was such a crappy place to live most of its history. Really nice to see all the wonderful new developments transpire...

I went to a Thunder game on the 14th and decided to look around at all the new developments. The Devon Tower and the area around it is absolutely amazing. It was so full of life, it honestly didn't feel like I was in OKC anymore. People were everywhere, the skating rink was packed, so was the kids playground near the Gardens. All the streets around Chesapeake were booming, the bars, restaurants, bricktown, just awesome to see what's happining downtown.

I guess I just had not paid much attention to the height of the tower since it has been topped out. Yesterday afternoon I was in Edmond at 2nd & Bryant and was shocked to look up and actually see the tower from there. I was especially surprised because it was very cloudy and overcast yet I could still see it quite well. And it wasn't because of there being no leaves or anything. The view was well over the tree tops. In the past, while it was still going up, on a clear day I could see it from I-35 and Memorial but I was a little shocked to be able to see it on a cloudy day from that much further north.

It's going to be an awesome complex and a great addition to the city.

Pretty exciting! OKC will most likely be getting a few more skyscrapers/highrises in the next 5 years. The CC is most likely going to go vertical(Probably 300+ft), Sandridge New tower(who knows what height) and an unknown tower(40 story/600+) might be announced soon. Lets wait and see. Renaissance City!

Looks like the dark tower of barad-dur...
