Default Cincinnati!

Cleveland's skyline consists of 3 buildings. From afar, the city doesn't look too bad, but when you actually get into Cleveland, it looks like a Scooby-Doo ghost town. Columbus...just has a boring skyline. Cincy is actually quite beautiful. The skyline is great, and it is also a great city to just walk around in.

Oh brother ... Mods, can we please just close this thread down?

I'm completely against the nanny-state mentality, but there is nothing good that comes from these threads. No registered user on City-Data has the ability to build new skyscrapers in any of the 3C's.

Lock it, close it, whatever you have to do.

Default Reluctantly Have to Admit, Cincinnati

I'm a lifelong Clevelander, but Cincinnati has a much more picturesque skyline. I think Cleveland was over-ambitious in their pursuit to build up their skyline in order to compete with Detroit and Chicago dating back to the industrial revolution. Hence, you had a desire to have the tallest buildings and not necessarily the most. I think the belief was that the gaps will ultimately fill in themselves with new builds and a large portion of the zoning was dedicated to parking. Cincinnati seems much more spread out, with no natural barrier like Lake Erie. Also, in my opinion, bridges do wonders to a city's general aesthetic and Cincinnati has more and looks a lot better as a result. Columbus looks like Omaha. It's weak. I still contend that Cleveland is more fun, from personal experience.

What's funny is how different all these cities look compared to 2009 and 2010! It's pretty remarkable considering the economy and everything going on in the world.

I still go with the picks I said on the last forum, Cleveland has the best with the lake incorporated, Cincinnatti has the best at night, Columbus has the tallest and the best to look at in the day. But Cleveland and Columbus has the best since there's seem to be a lot taller than Cincinnatti.
