Regardless of what a previous poster said .... or implied....regarding Cincinnati, if you are going to check out Ohio for relocation you definitely need to include Cincinnati in your options. There are many great things going on here worth exploring. Outsiders are starting to take notice ...............

Well, Cincinatti, by far, has the least amount of job opportunities for me (corporate tax accountant). Columbus and Cleveland far outperform Cincinnati in that regard. A simple search on Indeed.com confirms this. Columbus has more corporate headquarters per capita than any other metro in the U.S. Cleveland actually has slightly more jobs than Columbus, for me, which is shocking, but whatever.

Also, Cincinnati is the most conservative metro area of the three.

^Probably because Cleveland is a bigger metro area.

If we do the combined Cleveland/Akron/Canton area, that's a population of about 3 million.
Cincinnati/Dayton is also a population of about 3 million.
Columbus is right around 2 million.

Either way, I'm the wrong person to ask for advice on Columbus or Cleveland, so hopefully others can help more. I can help with any specifics on Southwest Ohio and give basic Columbus relocation knowledge.

Good luck!

Personality - It's a mini inland east coast. Multiple cities (Not just the 3 big C's) within close proximity to each other with their own identities. Each of these cities offers up big city perks.

If you are trying to avoid conservative, avoid Cincinnati.

Do you think Ohio is different than Indiana in terms of culture, vibe, political views and general mentality?

Florida has almost no jobs for me. The job market there is absolutely terrible for corporate tax accountants.

Check out the "General U.S." forum as well. Same old same old except with a little bit of Cleveland bashing with a new twist.

I don't understand why you (or anyone else) thinks I am trying to bash Cleveland. That was never my intention. I repeatedly said that I like Cleveland. Sure, my discussions/threads go very deep into details and perhaps some criticism, but I am honestly not trying to bash Cleveland. I am sorry if I offended any Clevelanders in this regard, because it was not my intention.
