One of the few cool things about living in central Ohio was taken from us yesterday. National Trails Raceway will no longer hold the NHRA Pontiac Excitement Nationals. For those who dont know, this is a yearly NHRA sanctioned drag racing event that brought a little excitement to this god forsaken place. It used to be a 10 minute drive for me. You could hear the dragsters at my house. This is crap.

Figures. So called "things to do" in this wonderful state seem to disappear daily, especially if you are into the outdoors. Looks like you are driving to Norwalk from now on, and thats about 2 1/2 hours. Glad I live dangerously close to Michigan, I can still catch a race every now and again at MIS without making it into a 7 day excursion.

Ok not trying to start anything here, but Ohio is a wonderful state you were right there, but come on everything leaves this state daily? Thats Michigan.... btw, why dont you talk about all the companies moving to Ohio. Didnt you hear that Kroger is taking some 1000 jobs out of Michigan and moving them to Dayton? I realize you dont like it here. But, you dont have to bash it.

I told NHRA that the stamps at the races tracks are art things, but they don't care and I don't know why. They are very hard to get off. They should something else like wristbands.

Ford laid off 3000 employees in Michigan in August.
