Vietnamese (Pho) - Pho Royal (Sterling)
Pizza - Armand's (several locations)
American - Sweet Water (Sterling), Clyde's in Ashburn, Hard Time Café (for Chili Mac - multiple locations)
Taiwanese - A&J (Annandale), Yen's Café (Ashburn)
Chinese (general) - Peking Gourmet Inn (Seven Corners - I think) for Peking Duck, Mark's Duck (Seven Corners) for dim sum, Hong Kong Palace (Seven Corners) for Sichuan Dishes, 100 Degree (Chantilly) for Hunan Dishes

Few of my favorites:

Dixie Bones Barbeque on Occoquan Road in Woodbridge. ALWAYS busy, has carryout, family owned, good food, catering and gives cash discount.

Petra Grill - Best Gyros ever......located (dine in) at the corner of Hoadly and Prince Wm Parkway in the shopping center next to the boxing gym, love, love love that place. Also has a place in food court at Potomac Mills.

BEST WINGS EVER! I will special order these for events, Pizza Time on Mathis Avenue in Manassas. I have yet to find better.

Charcoal Kabab is great. These guys are so cool they even let me eat there on credit one time when I showed up without cash. Two thumbs up.

I had an issue with water coming from under my refrigerator (which is in a recessed area) - call a bunch of places, got voice mail mostly. Remembered I belonged to Angie's List (got a deal on it, otherwise I wouldn't) - anyway, found a place through there and was extremely happy with service from Air Express Appliance (which reminds me, I need to leave a review on AL).

Best Soft-Serve Ice Cream - Frostie Moose at Hoadly and PW Pkwy (Sadly, closed for the winter)
Best Salon & Spa - Ibiza Day Spa in Woodbridge (Expensive but worth the money and I'm a cheapskate)
Best Local Yarn Store - The Yarn Cloud in Occoquan (Lots of natural fibers, local yarns, and plenty of expert assistance with knitting, crocheting, spinning, and tatting.)
Best Appliance Repair - All American Appliance in Stafford (They'll tell you honestly if an appliance isn't worth fixing. Bonnie is the BEST!)
Best Plumbing, Heating, Electrical - Chandler's (Pleasant, friendly, responsive, reasonably priced, reliable. Love Lisa, Jada, and Tina who answer the phones.)

Unfortunately, a bad place... a new dry cleaner opened and had a special on comforters - I took 3, and all 3 are ruined - lumpy, shrunken, etc. - ACK.

For plumbing issues: George's Waterworks. Several people in my subdivision have used him and recommended him. A couple weeks ago I realized my water heater had sprung a leak and bit the dust (admittedly, I ought to have replaced it a few years ago). The owner made time in his schedule, and from what I gathered from the person who recommended him to me, I don't think I got soaked on the charge.

Just found a really good chocolate shop that just opened in Old Town- it's on King Street, just past Payne street (same block as Pacers shoes and Rock It Grill).

Loooove their fudge, give it a try
