Why does our small town not have newspaper delivery on Mondays?

Even the stores that carry newspapers are affected.

Thoughts ?

IDK -- does your local paper even publish on Mondays? This is 2024, after all. Have you asked anyone at the paper or checked their website?

What newspaper are you talking about? The Pittston Dispatch is only a Sunday newspaper.

NYT. Seems silly that it is not available on Mondays

I assume because it gets published/printed too late for delivery on Monday.

I came to this thread hoping for some juicy NEPA oddities. Disappointed. I guess buying a physical newspaper instead of reading it online could qualify as odd these days.

The original Wilkes-Barre City Cemetery was originally located where City Hall now stands. That might explain a few things.

My son just casually mentioned that nobody along US Route 209 in the East Stroudsburg area has NYC newspapers, including the WSJ, on Mondays. He doesn't know why, though. Seems like it's a thing for NY papers all over PA. No sure if it effects other outlying areas.
