We are looking to buy a vacation home in the Wallenpaupack area. Any advice as to where might be the best place to be. We have looked in the Hideout, Wallenpaupack Lake Estates & Tanglewood?

Yeah, we looked really hard at the Wallenpaupuk area. And. . . nothing really going on up there other than the lake (with tons of tourists) for a few months of the year. As pointed out, no services, no attractions, and really , the homes are extremely expensive for what you get.

it’s expensive in the lake area because it is in demand …and in my opinion worth it …i found our neighbors to be affluent as well and we all had the same new york , new jersey kind of thinking , good or bad .

We sold also in WLE. We loved it when we were there for the weekends but then moved there full time and got to dÃs like it so we sold and moved to not community property further West.
