This is why I say N.Y. talks the talk, but does not walk the walk, when it comes to Veterans.

There was a bill proposed in a committee of the N.Y. Assembly to give Gold Star families free college tuition. It never even made it out of committee.

New York will give Veterans platitudes all day long, but when it comes to any meaningful appreciation, forget it.

It looks like an example of personal politics getting in the way, which is a darn shame and why overpoliticalization is annoying. Especially given the number of those that would benefit from it isn’t that high.

Griffo honors sergeant from Marcy for military service: https://www.uticaod.com/news/2019052...litary-service

Also, here is some information about the NY State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame: https://www.nysenate.gov/honoring-our-veterans

I wonder how many people across the state, including Veterans, even know about this Hall of Fame?
