Short three years into Adams admin, things continue to worsening and Adams is being FBI-investigated while still serving. How NYC is doing budget wise? I foresee a possible bankruptcy crisis for the next mayor to deal with two consecutive incompetent corrupt mayors in NYC history.
It is not my impression that DeBlasio was especially corrupt. Being a success or not, has nothing to do with being corrupt or not.

The people around DeBlasio were corrupt. I think he was just too dumb. One of the few politicians not to become extremely wealthy after office. He is still schlepping around Brooklyn right?

Wonder how much they could have pocketed? Asking for a friend.

Of course. It was obvious what happened. It went to his wife’s friends who opened shell companies. The NYC welfare establishment is an amalgamation of thousands of programs and tens of thousands of vendors who profit from this industry.

The best part is we have more mentally ill in NYC now then when this program was started in 2015.

My theory is that the NY establishment politicians (Hairy Hochul, Schmuckk Schumer, Gorilla brand) ran out George Santos because he was highlighting their fraud and embezzlement schemes in a very high profile way.

He was the sacrificial lamb because he was extremely easy to go after due to not actually knowing about the dirty laundry of others.

The corrupt ones don't go after each other because they don't want to engage in mutually assured destruction.

Santos couldn't destroy anyone because he literally just got there.

He corrupted through his ex-wife. Not sure if he got his share back after their split up.
