Let’s stop playing this stupid game. If the NYT is printing this, that means even the ivory tower bubble dwellers in Manhattan and Park Slope Brooklyn are starting to complain.

But simply, it is always changing. The current trajectory is certainly down and has been since democrats took over the vast majority of political power...but eventually it will hit rock bottom like it did pre Gulliani and will change course. Remember, we come and go but the city will always be here.
There's an argument that the Roman Empire never died, it just evolved into the Catholic Church.

Looking at how many NYC transplants are on the West Coast, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, VA (and Internationally), even if the literal city itself were hit by a comet this afternoon, NYC will always have a presence.

This is exactly how George Soros envisioned and has done to other countries. He sponsored so much of this disorder because he gets rich this way. Money is more powerful than votes, that's how anything gets done in this country. Your votes will not matter, eventually when the city lost control due to the large influx of migrants and its ability to satisfy their demands. The city will burn just like in Paris. You don't allow more illegals into the city for thousands of years walls are built so invaders cannot invade.

Rome wasn't built in a day, but it collapsed in one.

Actually the siege by the Visigoths lasted 3 days.

But would it have been considered "collapsed" on either of the 1st 2 days? Or was it the 3rd day that did them in? If they were pushed away on either of those days, would the collapse still have happened?

People complain all the time, about everything.
People are complaining here in Florida too, and according to the media, we should all be moving to Boise.
The media thrive on "complaints" and doomsday articles.

I prefer to judge with my own eyes based on my personal experience. It looked a bit dull and in somewhat of a decline a few years ago. It definitely does not appear to be the case right now.
