I think you mentioned you’re retired NYPD? How many higher ups are qualified for the position in your estimation? Now run the same calculation for female and black higher ups. We all know they’re mainly political appointees. If they weren’t black and female, there’s a 0% chance they’d be in that position.

How would you know if she is qualified or not? Do you have a background in law enforcement to make such determinations? Many of your posts are simply a result of your frustration in regards of not being able to afford the lifestyle you think you deserve in this city. We did not "elect" to witness your disappointment, but here we are. How much longer do we need to put up with this?

0% chance she’d have that job if she wasn’t black and female. Is this a major revelation to you? This is well known within the LE community in NYC. If she was white and female, it’d be near 0% as well.

Why the personal attacks? What kind of lifestyle do you think I’m looking for that is not available in NYC?

Did I hit a sore spot? Why would you care anyway unless you’re black? Everybody in NYC knows 90% of black people in higher up government positions are incompetent. They’re all political appointees. In general, many higher up NYC government employees are incompetent but when it comes to NYC black government employees forget about it. It’s not exactly a secret. NYC has been practicing DEI before most everybody knew what DEI even was.

Look at how the city is run. Does it look like it’s competently run? I thought this was common sense.

Show me proof that she's incapable of doing her job.

0% chance. Detroit style governance and will be Detroit style outcomes. Maybe it won’t get that bad and we’ll get a David Dinkins repeat?

She’s NYPDs own Kamala Harris. In all of the NYPD, they couldn’t find someone better? She’s DEI through and through.

I really appreciate that you took the time to post links. Now let me start dissecting them:

From the first link:

"She has a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College and is a graduate of the Police Management Institute at Columbia University."

So what are the requirements to be head of Probation? She obviously has schooling combined with a LE background.

Link #2:

"When Adams stated during his mayoral campaign that he would appoint the first female police commissioner, Holmes was one of three women viewed as likely candidates and was said to have been the only NYPD insider still under consideration late in the selection process.

But Adams instead reached outside the department, selecting Sewell, who, as chief of detectives, held a lower rank than Holmes in the far smaller Nassau County Police Department. A day after Sewell’s appointment, Holmes was transferred from chief of patrol to chief of training. This loss of prestige prompted speculation that the move was meant to steer her into retirement."

If you're claiming she got this position because of DEI, why wasn't she made commissioner, instead of an outsider from Nassau County?

Link #3:
What does this story have to do with her ability to perform her job?
