Restaurants below Central Park? (theater, allergies, places to eat)

Hi,

Any recommendations for places to eat before a show? Yes, I know there is google and Yelp but those are risky.

No allergies. No vegetarian or other preferences. Just looking for recommendations for nice places.

Google and Yelp maybe be risky, but there is such a thing as restaurant reviews and specialized food websites.

Or just go look at the restaurant books in the travel section of any bookstore.
