I hope there is not a grand finale of violence between now and end of Jan.
Trump supporters are vastly outnumbered in New York. They won't try anything like that here and the more militant ones are into marching around with AR-15s or right wing radicals shooting up a place or blowing something up rather than window smashing. There was also the kidnapping plot on the Governor of Michigan and another recent incident where the police intercepted two QAnon nuts with a gun in a hummer headed for the Pennsylvania Convention Center where votes are being counted. That is more their speed.
The chances were windows could have been smashed if Trump won. So far window smashing and looting have been sporadic not wide spread.
Around the end of November any recounts of votes that might be done will probably be done and there is a very slim but possible chance Trump wins. That could lead to anti-Trump riots. January 20 is kind of far off. I would leave boards up until the end of November and then play it by ear. If Trump is supposed to leave then and he doesn't -or suppose some completely unpredictable national emergency happens, that leads to him staying or thinking he has the right to stay there could be riots. Some Businesses can still operate with boards. I'm not sure about this but it might be a good idea to paint then to to make it look better and then have a big visible "Open" sign. Big riots and looting in NYC between now and the end of January? today I would say 10% chance. The Bush Gore recount period was about 35 days after the election I think

I think the election results being reversed would be a nightmare for the country. The holiday shopping season is coming, so likely end of month they will be taken down.

I figure he has until January 20 to play around. If he's not talking about ceding by January 16th put the boards back up. But leave them up for now until all recounting is done for the slim chance there was a legitimate reversal. So down December -mid Jan and then possibly up again if necessary. I hope businesses have doors put on the plywood so they can still be open.
This is how it could be done: make a simple door. Then when it gets close to a possible riot time you seal it up with a big piece slightly bigger than the door. That gets bolted on with thick bolts, not nails, all around

What a sissy city. A couple of police vans in the neighborhoods that had issues with looting and it would never happen. But like I said sissy city Where cops can't do thier job.

You think if there was a large police presence in soho on day one there wouldbe that many stored stores that got looted? Doubt it. Watch the videos There were no police to be seen anywhere
