This is true. The bleeding heart views and apathy to keep criminals locked up is a major problem. How many times does the "they came from a broken home" or "the amount of self defense was too much on the perp" have we heard? Its mind blowing how backwards it all is.

NYPD denies ever using ‘kettling’ tactic against protesters

https://www.amny.com/news/nypd-denie...st-protesters/

After a night of controversial arrests relating to demonstrations in Lower Manhattan, NYPD Chief of Patrol Juanita Holmes claimed the department has never employed the tactic known as kettling against protesters and that she had never heard the term until recently.

Why does the nypd even bother. Give them the city. It’s not worth the headaches and lawsuits. Let it turn to Portland.

It is getting to the point where police officers can't even do their jobs for fear of the personal liability. In addition, prosecutors across the country including our own Cy Vance and Portland's Mike Schmidt are declining to prosecute rioters who assault officers. NYC has the best, most professional police force in the country and possibly in the world. That won't last forever if the current anti-cop culture continues.

NYC is turning into Chicago where the police basically gave up on the South Side b/c of pressure from a liberal Black Mayor and a liberal Black DA.

You can see the frustration in the face of the police chief, a conservative Black man, who wants to take more aggressive policing action against crime. The Monday morning shooting statistics regularly push into high 2 and low 3 digit figures every weekend (as published by the Chicago Tribune and other local media).

Imagine having your hands tied because the Mayor restricts your actions and your city's DA just runs a catch and release program whose rate exceeds the most popular wildlife fisheries. But then they turn around and blame you for not doing enough. So he basically gave up and is counting the years until his pension vests while the South and West Sides of Chicago continue a slow descent into anarchy.

The officers should be commended for their great restraint.

Boo hoo! .........I'm filing a complaint for being Kettled.......Boo hoo!

Tactical measures employed in the process of crowd control being questioned is just another attack by
anarchists in their continuing struggle to further water-down and erode current policies and practices of
enforcement utilized by our men and women in blue, the greatest policing force in the world who's main
objective is to serve and protect.
