Call them and say you want to CANCEL. They will transfer you to someone else, tell them you want to CANCEL... .They will then offer you a better deal to stay. Only way companies will make a deal with you is to pretend like you will leave them.
Also log into your Online Spectrum account and try to change your package there. No need to talk with anyone these day. I manage my FIOS account and change my package every two years online and setup a package with a price that I like.
Don't believe the sales people on the phone.
you have "ULTRA" internet which is 400mps, overkill unless you have a specific need for that much speed.
This. No need for Ultra anything. As long as you can get maybe 50MBPS download speeds that is good enough for anyone. Especially if they have very few internet devices. No need for 100, 200, 500, MPBS. No one will use that much bandwidth at home.
I have the same at home. I have about 30 devices connected to it. Super fast and no need for anything more.
By the way a speed test doesn't show how much speed you actually use on a daily basis, it is a quick snapshot of maximum speed possible on your connection. While just web browsing or checking email you use maybe 5-8 MBPS.

Yes sir I used to hire people to install them for my work projects. Used to run IT projects for 12 years.
T1 is actually the slower of the available commercially available dedicated internet circuits. You also have others like T3 & DS3. The big thing with these services is not mainly the speed (Because you can have slower T1's than you can get at home speed wise) it's the UP-TIME GUARANTEE. T1's have something like 99.9% guaranteed up-time. Home connections dont.
If a T1 goes down the contract states a certain amount of time that the provider MUST get it working again or begin to pay you (The Customer) a "fine".
