Mass retirement my A55, so many people otj, not in the best condition after decades of lifting, with 25-30 years that could’ve long retired LOL
Congrats to everyone getting on. September class left us in the dust LOL
Remember, mouth shut, ears and eyes open, absorb all the info you can. Change your living habits, no more late nights playing fortnite and drinking the night before a shift, its just not physically possible.
August class going on nights next week, and will gladly greet September class with open arms and baskets.
Goodluck! And keep the forum posted on hiring related info!
They been saying people retiring the entire life of the test lol. Keep listening to that if you want. Got 8-9 guys with over 20 years in my garage and only 1 is retiring
Fall of '99 was the first hiring from whatever test number that was. (So long ago). A lot of guys are leaving, and a lot of guys aren't. Probably 50-50. Be glad your getting in. Probably the last class for the year. If you have a brain, take the supervisor test. It ain't a fun job, but your pension will be 20-30,000 more than a 20 year sanman. I thought the filing is still open for supervisor exam.

Of course they do. When you get OT, someone has to "supervise" you. Plus your pension doesn't include OT anymore, so it would behoove you to go up the ranks and make more money.
