How many low to middle income native New Yorkers will be hired?
Probably not many natives. My sister works for a tech company in Seattle; most are not from the area. Top companies will hire the best candidates regardless of location. Top graduates in the tech field will usually move to where the top jobs are located.

They should get as much from Amazon on a feelgoodforeveryone basis as possible without turning Amazon away or getting sour. It should be part of their job and they would be retarded not to.

The deal was structured to prevent this.

But here's a question. With the Democritters now in full control in Albany, could the state legislature do something, especially with enough support to override the inevitable Cuomo veto? I kind of doubt it.

If CC and or legislature in Albany scuttles this Amazon deal and the company walks away Cuomo and even that BdeB come away looking like heroes. Any and all of the eventual fallout will be laid at the feet of those who pushed to kill the deal.

Amazon *wants* to come to NYC, but that does not mean it *NEEDS* to be here. Boston and a few other places might just as well do nicely.

Mr. Jeff Bezos likely already has had his fill dealing with SJW legislatures both in Washington and Seattle. You can give a dog a bad name but so long until it turns around and bites.

It works out fine for NYC if Amazon does not come and it works out fine for NYC if the city or state can scale back the incentives or get a little more something for it.
