Hi, I've always been a big fan of S N L and was wondering if someone out there can tell me about it.

1-Is it easy to get tickets?

2-Is it really "live" at night?

3-How much do tickets normally run?

Tickets are free. It is live. But you must order them months and months in advance. Check the NBC website.

Arrow SNL Tickets in Charity Auction www.HollywoodCharityAuction.com

In answer to your question, SNL tickets are rare, even the free ones. The free ones are rationed out and it takes at least 6 months to get a free ones. Then you are not guaranteed a seat, even with the ticket.

Tickets are free and the 11:35 PM show is live
I worked at SNL there is also a dress rehursal preshow that finishes at 10 PM. If you go early in the day you can get a number. They come down and take 10-15 people to fill the seats. Same deal with Conan and Letterman
If its snowing or bad weather your chances of getting in are better. Studio 8H is much teighter now due to all the new HDTV equipment. The 40 or so seats on the floor inside the red tape are all extras and actors who want to get noticed. (Conan has seeds in his audience as well)
The bleechers hold the real public audience 210 seats that load from and upper floor and elevator, there a couple mics and monitors up there. The seat wrap around at the ends but some stuff you cant see from the middle.

IMO the show totally sucks ever since Lorne Michaels company (Broadway Video) got all these women MTV writers, producers and directors on board who intern braught in more 'Friends from the West Villiage and Fire island" who ruened everything with all the cartoons, ugly's and gay stuff.

Cheri, Molly, Chris Farley and Mike M were the best, they would talk, sit and eat, personally mail you Christmas cards. The new crowd only speakes or looks 'the beautyful in crowd people"...Asshats !
