Hello fellow future and current Sani employees!! Since so much time has elapsed since I’ve been on here, I was wondering if anything has changed since then. I’m lost number 5,6xx and would love to get a shot at this job. How far along are they on the list and have they been hiring more or less than expected? I already passed my physical and am now just playing the waiting game. I wish you all the best of luck and appreciate all the information circulating throughout this forum!
Considering we are going into the 3rd year of the list with the last list number appointed (1595), it's hard to tell. You may get on, you may not. I would keep other options open at this point.
If you haven't got your CDL yet, get it. Even if you don't get on Sanitation, you can still get with other city agencies or private companies for a CDL position.
Was recently prescribed metoprolol due to HBP diagnose. Will this medication be an automatic DQ?

Its possible you will be disqualified for high BP at FIRST! But as many will tell you here, keep up the fight and contest it. I got medically DQ'd for other reasons and I fought it for a whole year, finally am on the job.
Seems like the Medical Director has been DQ'ing people for any reason from what people have been saying.
