Are the massage parlors in NYC really just fronts for sex trafficking? Or is this just a small minority of them? Has anyone ever been? They are largely run by the chinese right?
Are there legit massage parlors out there? Like what about Spas? There is a this big one in Queens called Castle spa or something. They offer massage. Do the legit massage parlors feel that this illegitimate places hurt their business?

At spas, the primary clientele is women. I've been for tons of massages, usually by men and nothing fishy ever happened. I like a male masseuse because they are stronger.
I highly doubt that the people who want to go for an actual massage and the people who want a "massage" are the same people. Therefor there is no business to be hurt.
I've always wanted to go to a massage parlor but I'm always afraid the cops would run in lol. I'm not looking for "happy endings" but it's something I just wanted to scratch off the bucket list. Don't want to go to any high-end spa either, just want a regular massage one time.

This place gets a decent number of reviews on Yelp. Never been there myself. Yelp is good to find out about places but you have to remember to basically ignore anything written by a reviewer who has written fewer than 5 reviews on the site. As Yelp got more popular, there started to be more fake reviews by people with new accounts...kind of like on this site, when people want to start faking stuff and trolling, they start a new account
I was at the Exhale Mind Body Spa a few years back (2007?) as a visiting out-of-town relative of mine was given a gift certificate for a massage there and since she was unable to use it, she gave it to me. It was a decent establishment.

technically happy endings is a bit of a gray area. It is a massage they are massaging everywhere.

I'm that way too. I would LOVE a good massage, preferably by a man's strong hands but I want a GOOD massage (no happy ending needed) and I fear most are just incompetent rip-offs.
So none for me yet.
The ladies at the mall, "wantee rubee," turn me off completely. For me, Chinese women have one function: Hot and Sour Soup. Imitation geisha is off-putting.

Most places give a good massage, and even if they do offer "extra services", just tell them your not interested. It's not like they are going to force something you don't want.
"II'll tell 'ya, I'm never lucky. I went to a massage parlor. They told me it was self-service!"
LOL
