I agree... I hate Daylight Savings. I know it's 'just an hour'... yet for some reason it takes me so long to adjust. And I really don't see the point any more since we are not in a war-induced depression....
Arizona doesn't have it, and I think parts of Indiana also keep the clocks constant (Chicago time in the summer, east coast time in the winter). Hawaii, too doesn't have daylight savings time.
My one complaint is the mornings going to work at the very end of daylight savings time. The past week it was still dark at 7 am. That's tough to take, waking up in a timely manner.
I agree with GiantsRutgers, though, being dark at 6pm kind of dims the spirits. I think the answer is that we all live on the equator! Then you have 12 hours of day and night, plus, there are no seasonal changes.
I much prefer Standard Time. I very much dislike DST. I prefer mornings that have an earlier sunrise. Earlier sunsets are to be expected when you live further north in latitude. I am in NH and dusk is now at 4:15PM.
NO NO NO! We have Daylight Saving Time for very good reason!
I don't want to wake up in the dark! OK, maybe it stinks to get dark by 5 pm now, but also think about in the summer. Why would you want it to be dark by 7.30 PM instead of 8.30 pm? 7.30 way to early for summer time!!
It takes a day to adjust, that's why it's on Sunday they change clocks! Know & Learn the difference before judging!
It's winter time, that means it should get dark earlier. When it's summer, let it be an hour lighter.
Exactly, and parts of the country are different, I am beginning to think daylight savings time is for political reasons more so than more legitimate are consumer interest reasons add to that not every state city follows the time and every clock has to be reprogrammed if not automatic and changes altered.
