Cathedral Gorge is quite beautiful and is located just south of Pioche on US93. We did a loop in April that spent 2 nights in Tonopah, 5 in Pioche and 5 in Ely. We'd been through Ely in 2015 coming home from Oklahoma but now have a much different perspective after staying there. Wasn't impressed with Great Basin National park but couldn't go in the caves with our puppy. Coming home on US50 towing our trailer was much different than driving it in the Corvette. Eastern Nevada is very beautiful. The view of Wheeler peak from US93 was breathtaking.
