As of May, 2015, the community of Lakeside Crossing (which is located in Conway, SC) was sold to Sun Communities, Inc. Could any of the current residents of Lakeside Crossing please comment upon what their experience has been with the management of Sun Communities thus so far? Have they been a good landlord? And are they keeping up with the day-to-day maintenance issues, etc. I'm also aware of the fact that prior to the sale from Sobol to Sun Communities that several of the residents were protesting the inequitable lot rental discrepancies (HOA's) between the new owners and the long-term residents, and I'm wondering whether or not any of their concerns regarding this particular issue have been resolved. If so, what was the resolution? Me and my DH are planning in retiring to the Myrtle Beach/Conway area, and we are very interested in buying into the Lakeside Crossing community. However, we would like to know a little more about the issues surrounding this community and its current management. Thanks in advance for any information that you may be able to provide!
