Hi

Am looking for a restaurant with the above,I don't particularly care for the overpriced buffets, but I won't rule them out as long as they 1-post their prices, and 2- have decent food, and 3-don't sell out their customers to the timeshare sharks!!

Can be anywhere from Murrell's Inlet,Litchfield,Surfside,Garden City, etc.,to around Calabash,NC,and anywhere in- between.(prefer MB area though).

Thanks so much for any suggestions!

I've only had this at two restaurants here and one is out of business. The other is the Chinese buffet near Carolina Forest. It's not fancy but price is right and the food is good.

Rapture,thanks so much.
I was doing a search and came up with seafare, which is family-owned and a lot of ppl said they liked.any thoughts out there about it? would also consider capt george's since it got overall good reviews, although I think someone said the TS sharks as there.

I love Seafare....it is my fav restaurant but they do have someone as you exit asking about Timeshares. It has never been a problem because we just walk past and say no thank you. It is only one person and they are never aggressive. Look for $3 off coupons in the tourist coupon booklet and go for the early seating. I don't dig buffets either but when you compare the prices for good oysters and crablegs elsewhere, Seafare makes the most sense. WE've been to Captain George's too but the lines are always really, really long. The food is good there as well but they don't have the oysters on the half shell that I like and, for me, the food is just better at Seafare. Good luck!

The food is a lot better at Seafare but that's the place I heard closed. I only went to Capt George once and would never go back.

I was so upset when I read the message that I called the restaurant to check it out. The message does say they are closed for the season until March 1, 2010 and then WILL BE RELOCATING to the restaurant row section of Myrtle Beach. I have no idea where the restaurant row section is but that is the message they have on their phone. I'm glad they are not closing for good but I'm bummed they are moving! I'm like 6 minutes from them and it was an easy in and out at that location. There was never a long line, either.

The new location is on their website. It is up on Kings Hwy near the Tanger outlet center. I'm so disappointed because my hubby refuses to wait in line for longer than 30 minutes and I'm betting it is going to be really crowded in the N Myrtle location.
