So, we finally made our way to search out a retirement home. Mostly interested in NC, near SC border, so we decided to stay at Westgate Resorts Myrtle Beach. The area was sketchy at best, cars and motorcycles with stereos blasting cruising the hood at all hours. We left one morning at 9am, asked the front desk for a few clean towels and empty the trash. We returned at 9pm, and found a bag with all fresh linens (to remake the entire room) dropped in our room next to our used towels, and our trash still full. A call to the desk was made, I was instructed to take our trash to an alcove in the hall, and leave it in that trash can.....so now I am emptying my own trash. 15 minutes later, a gentleman enters the room, no knock, drops off a roll of trash bags and leaves. We go down the hallway to catch up with him to explain he needs to take the bag of linens, and used towels.....he had to use a translator app, didn't know a word of english. The lobby looked all nice, clean and inviting, thats where it ended.....not to mention the extra "Resort" fee so I can empty my own trash.
