We are considering moving to Murrells Inlet from Sarasota Florida (active 65+). My parents had a cottage in MI a few years ago and we loved visiting especially with the kids. Now we are the grandparents. Please refresh my memory about the winter weather from November to late April. Thanks

November is quite pleasant and December is too most of the time until late in the month. Jan/Feb can be somewhat chilly...average daytime highs in the high 50's/lows in the high 30's. But, we can also get a cold spell with temps in the 40's during the day and 20's at night but that usually only lasts a day or two before temps go back to normal. You can also get some 70 degree days interspersed.

March is usually in the 60's and April into the 70's. You can still get some higher or lower temps, but those two months are very pleasant.

I didn't put a jacket on all winter. Went to the beach in Nov, Dec, and most of april in addition to the other months. March is windy

Coming from Florida you will notice that there really is a winter here but it's not like up north winters.

Jan/Feb seem to be the coldest but not every day.

I spent the last two Christmas's in MB.
2 years ago Christmas eve and day were in the 30s-40s freezing.
This past year it was 70s beach days.
