Looking for recommendations for good beach umbrella and the anchor for using in sand
A good cart/wagon that travels well in dry sand when it has a load to carry
And a good chair that is easy to use in sand that is taller than most beach chairs...am carrying xtra pounds and a low chair is hard to get in/out of...
For a beach umbrella, assuming you want something that is durable for years of use, I would suggest Lack's Beach Service or Island Furniture in Garden City. You'll pay a lot but the umbrella is heavy duty and will last for many years even in the wind. We've had ours for 5+ years and other than a little fading, it is a good as the day we bought it.
We have a metal anchor that screws into the sand which you definitely will need if you get a heavy duty umbrella. I think we got ours at Walmart but I'm not sure that they carry the metal ones any more. You probably can get a good anchor wherever you get your umbrella.
Can't help you with the cart/wagon.
For a chair, we just buy a good, heavy duty, outdoor camping style chair.
