I could use some input on relocating to SC from Arizona. We have a 6 yr old and a newborn so schools and safety are important to us. Considering MB, Summerville, and Mt. Pleasant. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know of any other area you think would be good to look into!
Have you read through previous threads in both the MB and the Charleston forums? Your question is asked several times every day, and there is good info in these threads. When you visited SC, which towns appealed to you? You have visited SC, haven't you? If not, which fairy tale seemed to make it your paradise?
Everybody wants safety and everybody with children wants good schools. Every town I've ever been has some good and some bad in both categories; SC is no different. If you want good help, you will need to provide more info - housing budget, buy/rent, job requirements, lot size requirements, etc, etc, etc.
It would also be helpful to know about your employment. Working from home? Or, if not, some areas may provide more opportunities in a specific field than others. For a very general example, banking near Charlotte. Auto Manufacturing, upstate. (I know Arizona doesn’t have auto manufacturing but management, engineering subcontractors etc)
Best of luck.
