I’m thinking of buying a townhouse/condo in Myrtle Beach. Originally I was looking in NMB, but prices are better in the Surfside area. Can someone tell me about the pros & cons of Surfside? I’m familiar w Barefoot Landing & the theatres & I like the activities on the north side. It seems that the housing prices are better & you get more house for the money, the farther south you go. What are the crime statistics? I’m a single female, age 60 & I like to be close to restaurants & fun things to do. Thank you!
Well take this with a grain of salt as I've only been here since March 2019.
I'm also a single female and decided on NMB. I looked at Surfside as an option but decided that NMB had more to offer than Surfside did. To me Surfside seemed more family oriented and had a more quieter environment than NMB.
What you should do is visit and check out both areas. Stay a week in NMB and then a week in Surfside and get a feel for the areas. Or rent for a year and then decided which you prefer.
