We are looking at buying in Prestwick. Any opinions or comments on the Prestwick subdivision or location are welcome. Thanks

We don't live in Prestwick but based on where it is and my experience with traffic, you should be prepared for very heavy traffic in the summers on Rt544 from which you access Prestwick. We do not attempt to travel 544 on Friday afternoons, anytime Saturday or Sunday due to tourist traffic.

The only other potential drawback is that I would imagine insurance rates would be higher as it's relatively close to the ocean.

On the positive side, it's close to the ocean, a beautiful neighborhood and close to pretty much any conveniences that one might be looking for.

We have good friends there and go to their house weekly! Traffic is not bad except weekends in the summer when it is a pain but being from Long Island it is really no problem compared to what we are used to.

Beautiful neighborhood, quiet, nice folks and close to all!!

There was no flooding according to our friends! They live on Wentworth Dr and are also originally from Long Island around the Melville area.

Have you visited the neighborhood yet or doing this online?

I considered the subdivision when I was looking for a house. I think the traffic is doable. It wouldn't keep me from buying there. Of course I had traffic in Mt Pleasant SC for ten years and Merrick (Long Island) for two years.
