We are looking for restaurant recommendations from the Locals. From Little River, to Conway to Pawleys Island and anywhere between. Where do you like to go out to eat? Any type of food recommendations are appreciated. Reasonably priced with good food. We don't want to get stuck at the "touristy" spots. Thanks!

Favorite Chinese - China King - the one on Business 17 not the one on 501

https://www.yelp.com/biz/china-king-myrtle-beach-2

absolutely no atmosphere, but good inexpensive food. Get it to go and then eat it at the picnic tables in the Market Common

bonus, right next to a Food Lion if you need to pick up something

Favorite Italian - Valentino's - Surfside

Traditional Italian, Early Bird specials from noon until 5pm.

After 6 then have a singer who does Frank Sinatra type music Wed-Sun.

Don't write off the tourist restaurants - Sea Captain's House is great for a splurge (no reservations, but worth the wait)

Nance's in Murrell's Inlet for oysters -

Hoskins - N. MB - Great seafood - best on the Grand Strand (IMO). Down Main St. near the ocean.

Carrabas, Myrtle Beach - Great Italian food. Mouth watering Lasagna.

Pickled Cucumber - At the intersection of hwy 17 & Surfside Drive - Great home cooking.

In the spirit of staying away from touristy spots:
Thai Palms on 707 near the back gate...excellent Thai food, large portions, reasonable prices.
Lu Vans Fish Camp on 701 in Conway...huge portions, good prices, delicious food. But, it's quirky and don't go there if you're in a hurry or expect 5 star service...LOL. Hard to find...only have a small sign that you'll drive right past if you're going too fast.
BonFire in Conway...great BBQ with beautiful scenery on the river.
Brother Shuckers at the north end of Carolina Forest
Horry's Restaurant in Longs...seafood at reasonable prices but can get busy in the summer.
Flamingo Grill on N Kings Highway in MB...cool 50's decor and good food.
Grilled Cheese and Crabcake Co in Garden City...decadent sandwiches
Malibu of Surfside..great Italian Food. Sit in the back away from the piano player (too noisy near the piano)
Abuelos...the only chain on my list but, IMHO, the best tex-mex in MB.
Angelo's Steak & Pasta in MB
King Kong Shushi...the one in Carolina Forest only...the others are priced higher with smaller portions for the tourists

Rivertown Bistro in Conway - some fancy tasting food. A little pricey but worth it.
Bonfire Restaurant in Conway - on the river. U can enjoy your food while sitting outdoor looking at the river. They serve great tasting, smoked food.
