Try Fireman movers for a load/unload. They are very professional & fast too.

I used Verity Van Lines. They do a lot of NY to NC, SC and FL. They moved us from Long Island to here two years ago. I did get rid of a lot before the move but house furnishings were moved for about $3100. They were excellent.

We used Fairway Moving & Storage on the MB end to unload. One piece of advice...make sure that whomever you choose is insured against damage to your belongings. One place I called said that they had insurance but when I asked to be sure it covered damage, he admitted that it was only worker's comp and insurance on his truck. Needless to say, I didn't use them. Fairway has insurance to protect against any damage that they might cause in the unloading process.

What was the cost to unload?

Thanks.

He charged by the hour with a minimum of $300. They unloaded a 24 foot moving truck in about an hour and even set the beds up for us. That was 7 years ago so his minimum may have gone up some but I don't know that for certain. The owner is a little abrupt...friendly but not one to talk about the weather...LOL. But, they did a great job for us, my parents when they moved and my sister when she moved.

That quote seems high, is it just for moving or are you having them do the packing as well?

Usually, the Uhaul or Ryder place where you are returning the truck will know of some local people who can help you offload.
