We try to hit as many restaurants that we can but would like the locals to give me there best places for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. They don't have to be the best of the beach but your favorites. Good food and reasonable prices.
As a side note we have a small dog that we take with us alot and have found some places that allow them but would like some more options.
We are going to be here in a few weeks full time and was thinking about starting a blog for restaurants in the grand strand....thanks so much for your help

We love Miyabi's Japanese Steakhouse...restaurant row just South of the Barefoot area.....so good! Also, Greg Norman's has great food (but, prices to match!)..

Hamburger Joe's is a great place for tasty burgers...cash only, so be prepared!

Hoskins Restaurant (on Main St.) is always packed...lines out the door...we've yet to get in because we never have the time to wait, but one day....I want to see what the fuss is about!

River City Cafe, Ultimate California Pizza, Carolina Tavern, Gino's Real New York Pizza and if you wanna bring the dog, try Joey Doggs in Surfside.

When in Surfside go to The Pickled Cucumber for lunch or dinner. Good food, reasonable prices, extensive menu. Make sure you try the fried okra.

This is not exactly a foodie town, in case you haven't noticed. We really like Ciao (MB), Hot Fish Club (Murrell's) and Tupelo Honey Cafe (Market Common). Other than that we find ourselves continuously disappointed, especially with other's personal recommendations. If you want really good food, head 2 hours south to Charleston.

Thanks for all the posts. We have been to Charleston and although they have some nice restaurants we were generally unimpressed. The amount of restaurants in the area are overwhelming there has to be some great places (just like a treasure hunt- you just got to find them)
If you haven't been there try California dreamin off of the 17 by pass- try the early dinner specials.

Love River City Cafe. Gershons deli is very good. Hamburger Joes...love their fried bologna. Little place in Coway called Skips is very good. Good breakfast at The Spring House. Loved the flounder at Conch Cafe.

Wasn't sure if you already have been here and gone...but and FYI....most any restaurant at Barefoot Landing will let you take your pup if they have outdoor seating....we enjoy Ultimate California Pizza when there!
