We are moving to Surfside Beach area in a couple of weeks. I have a five year old son. Where can you learn about activities such as t-ball? It's always so hard to move somewhere and not know how to get him into activities. He is going into k this year.
Is there anything starting in July or so which he could still get involved with there? He has no understanding about sports, but I just want to get him active and moving. Also, he could meet kids.
On another note, does anyone have any idea how I can find someone to teach him to swim? The house we are renting (while my home here closes) is not in a subdivision with a pool, so I have no idea how I could get him lessons there. I want to get going with this.
The city of myrtle beach has a beautiful rec center right at Market Commons. It's 5-10 mins from your new place. The baseball fields are top notch. They will have fall registration in August for baseball. I'm pretty sure they have a swimming pool on site too. Give them a call. Good luck
****EDIT***** I just checked. The rec center ( Crabtree rec center) doesn't have a pool. Sorry.
