Been living here in Myrtle Beach for a year now and still loving it. However, finding doctors is a bit frustrating because so many are not taking new patients, and those who are have a long wait time to get an appointment. It has taken me several months to become a patient at some of the doctor offices, waiting up to 3 1/2 months for an appointment. I'm still searching for an ophthalmologist. Have spoken to as many people as I could, but came up short. Most people said their doctor was "okay". That is not a strong enough endorsement for me. In my case, I need an experienced doctor who knows all about "senior eyes" and is highly recommended. Someone who is knowledgeable and experienced with advanced care. I have researched up and down and all around, and some of the recommendations I got had poor reviews on 3 different doctor/medical sites. Myrtle Beach or Murrells Inlet doctor would be a plus. Appreciate any help or insights. Thanks

Myrtle Beach has a major issue with not enough doctors to handle the growth.

Hope this changes in the future.
