please tell me what areas to look to live for a young family of 5. We are driving down tomorrow to look around. We are trying to plan our week. A main priority is good schools. I have seen some homes with good schools and others with bad ratings. Is there a webaite or a map that I can find out which area is which district? Thanks

First of all, I am not a realtor. I don't even play one on TV. I don't believe I am even related to a licensed realtor.......

You can go through many old posting on this board. Some of them are excellent and you will probably find a lot of your answers, but it will take some reading. However I believe that your time will be better spent and your questions better answered by contacting a local realtor.

If you need some names, ask members here to personal message you with suggestions.

It's kinda late to start planning if you are leaving tomorrow. However, the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach is a safe bet for schools.

Thanks, we are also looking at Summerville, which we researched a lot. But decided to check this area out.

Check out Surfside too, it feeds into good schools. If I recall, there is a secret line in Murrells Inlet, where some areas feed into Horry County schools and other feed into Georgetown County schools.

St. James Middle is good but very competitive. Lakewood Elementary is also really good.
